This material was also inspired by the architecture of the Borgund Stave Church in Norway. The outside of the walls are covered in these wooden scales, much like the roof, but slightly different. I will need to balance the colours of these scales to match the material I made for the roof tiles when I put them together on the model. These tiles are also lacquered, but I may tone down the lacquer effect as well to match with the more raw wood roof tiles.
